ISAKOS Mission Statement

The International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) is dedicated to fostering the global exchange and dissemination of education, research, and patient care related to arthroscopy, knee surgery, and orthopaedic sports medicine.

Formation of ISAKOS

ISAKOS was established in 1995 through the merger of the International Arthroscopy Association (IAA) and the International Society of the Knee (ISK) during the IAA & ISK Combined Congress held in Hong Kong.

Collaboration Efforts

ISAKOS collaborates with regional and national societies that share similar objectives, creating a comprehensive platform for these organizations to combine their expertise within an international context.

Membership Growth

ISAKOS has seen substantial growth, with over 3,000 members representing 97 countries and regions worldwide.
